Capture · Data Export & Portability

Your data is yours — take all of it, whenever you want.

A workspace admin can export the entire workspace as one downloadable archive — members, orders, campaigns, loyalty, catalog and more — with a manifest that lists exactly what's inside. Genuine portability, no lock-in, and a straight answer to the exit clause in any procurement review.

The lock-in question

“And if we ever leave — how do we get our data out?”

It's the question every procurement team asks, and with most platforms the honest answer is a support ticket, a partial CSV dump, and weeks of chasing. That's not portability — it's a soft form of lock-in. Your customer relationships, your loyalty program and your campaign history are your assets; you should be able to walk out with a complete copy on your own, in one step.

How it works

One request. One archive. A manifest that proves it's complete.

01

Request from Account → Data & Export

A workspace admin asks for a full export in one click. There's nothing to configure and no ticket to file — it's a self-serve control inside your own account.

02

Flash builds the archive in the background

Flash assembles one downloadable archive covering the whole workspace, so you can keep working while it runs. Large sections are capped so a big export stays manageable — the manifest notes wherever a cap applied.

03

Download over a short-lived signed link

When it's ready you download the archive through a signed link that expires shortly after — it isn't a public URL. Every request and every download is recorded in the audit trail.

04

Open the coverage manifest first

The archive leads with a manifest listing exactly which sections are included and how many records are in each — so you can see the export is complete, not a partial dump, before you hand it to anyone.

What's in the archive

The whole workspace — not a slice of it.

The archive spans your entire workspace. Here's the ground it covers, and the manifest tells you the record count for every section.

Your customers & activity

  • Members
  • Orders
  • Segments
  • Tags
  • NPS responses

Your marketing

  • Campaigns & performance
  • Push templates
  • Coupon pools
  • Ad connections
  • Strategy initiatives

Your loyalty & program

  • Loyalty program
  • Member portal pages
  • Regions
  • Team

Your catalog & extensions

  • Catalog brands & categories
  • Custom objects
  • Custom metrics
  • Embedded apps

Your governance record

  • Privacy policies
  • Data-subject request (DSAR) history

Large sections are capped so a big export stays manageable — and the manifest notes wherever a cap applied. For the full personal data held on an individual member, use the per-member data-subject export.

One workspace archive, with a coverage manifest of every section and its record count.

What we guarantee

Complete, verifiable, and safe to hand over.

Everything, in one archive

One file covers the whole workspace — members and orders through campaigns, loyalty, catalog and your governance record. Not a per-module scramble of separate CSVs.

A manifest you can trust

The archive states which sections it includes and the record count for each, and calls out any section that was capped — so completeness is visible, not assumed.

Secrets stay out

API keys, credentials and tokens are deliberately excluded from the archive. Portability of your data should never mean handing out the keys to your integrations.

Personal data has its own path

The workspace export is your operational data. Detailed personal data about an individual member is served through the per-member data-subject export, so subject requests are answered precisely and on the record.

How your data is handled

Portability is the flip side of good data handling.

Being able to take your data out is only reassuring if it's well looked after while it's with us. Here's the honest picture — including that the export files themselves are encrypted at rest.

For the standards we're held to and how we support your compliance obligations, see Data Compliance.

Managed cloud infrastructure

Flash runs on managed cloud infrastructure in a single region.

Encrypted in transit

All data moves over encrypted connections (TLS).

Encrypted at rest

Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 — and that includes the export files themselves.

Managed-database backups

The managed database is backed up so your data is durable, not held on a single copy.

Sub-processors published

The infrastructure sub-processors we rely on are listed on our trust page, with notice before they change.

No lock-in. Take your whole workspace with you.
