Activate · Web Push

Notify members in their browser — no app download.

Web push reaches members right in their browser, on desktop or mobile. It's built on the open browser standard, so there's no paid third-party provider and no per-message fee. Members opt in themselves, and it's off by default until you switch it on.

Why web push

A reach channel that doesn't need an app — or a bill per message.

Most of your members will never install an app, and email is easy to ignore. Web push opens a direct line on a channel members already have — their browser — using the standard browsers already support.

No app required

A member doesn't need to download or open an app. If they've allowed notifications in their browser, you can reach them on desktop or mobile — a channel that would otherwise need an app build.

No per-message fee

Web push runs on the open standard that browsers already support. There's no paid third-party push provider in the loop and no cost per notification, on any browser.

One more way to be reachable

It reaches members who never installed your app and who tune out email — without asking them to sign up for anything new. They just tap 'Allow' once.

How it works

Enable it once. Members opt in. Send from where you already work.

01

Turn it on in Settings → Web Push

An admin enables web push for the workspace. Flash generates the signing keys automatically on first enable — nothing to paste in — and you add a contact email and can fire a test send to confirm it works.

02

Members opt themselves in

On their member portal privacy page, a web-push card appears — but only when their browser supports push and the workspace has enabled it. Tapping it asks their browser for permission; they're never subscribed without allowing it.

03

Send from the channels you already use

Web push joins the same send and automation stack as email and app push. Once a member is subscribed, they're another way to reach that person from the plays you already run.

04

Delivery stays clean over time

Each notification is delivered through that member's own browser push service. When a subscription expires — a browser reset, a revoked permission — it's pruned automatically, so you're not sending into dead addresses.

Web push works in modern browsers that support notifications; the opt-in card only appears for members whose browser supports it, so nobody is offered a channel their device can't use.

Members opt in to browser notifications from their own portal privacy page.

Consent & privacy

Consent-first by construction.

Off by default, per workspace

Web push does nothing until an admin deliberately turns it on for the workspace. It's an opt-in capability, not something running behind your back.

The member chooses

Members opt in themselves from their portal, and the browser itself asks for permission before anything is delivered. No permission, no notification.

Encrypted end-to-end

Every message is encrypted with the individual subscription's own keys, so a notification can only be read by the member's own browser.

Add a browser channel — no app, no per-message fee.
